The 2026 edition of HKIFF Industry Project Market concluded with the presentation of 25 cash and in-kind awards across 16 categories, with a combined value exceeding US$360,000.
This year’s Project Market showcased 46 projects, including 31 In-Development Projects (IDP) and 15 Works-in-Progress (WIP). Among them were eight animation projects and six genre titles, selected from over 500 submissions representing 47 countries and regions worldwide.
The ceremony also announced the mentors for the second edition of the Asian Short Film Fund (ASFF): Lav Diaz, Yeh Ju-Feng, and Oh Jung-Wan. The fund invites aspiring directors and producers to submit short film proposals from 10 April to 5 June 2026.
Meanwhile, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the new initiative Asian Stories · Next Gen has been launched with the support of Carry On Film. Dedicated to supporting feature-length projects, shortlisted films will receive RMB 1.5 million to support their development and production.

頒獎典禮上亦公佈第二屆亞洲短片基金(ASFF)的導師名單,分別為:拉夫狄亞茲、葉如芬及吳姃玩 。基金旨在鼓勵新晉導演及監製提交短片項目,公開徵集日期為 2026 年 4 月 10 日至 6 月 5 日。
與此同時,香港國際電影節協會為慶祝電影節 50 周年,與素手掬影業(Carry On Film)攜手推出全新企劃 「亞洲新故事」(Asian Stories · Next Gen),致力扶持長片項目。入選電影將獲150萬人民幣的資金,以支持其開發及製作。 |
