電影業辦公室每年暑假舉辦的「電影培訓計劃」（Film Lab），今年已邁入第八屆，致力於為新一代香港及華語導演提供培訓機會。今年的五天工作坊以講座為主，並結合一對一個別指導，旨在為新導演與資深電影人搭建交流橋樑。本年度的Film Lab主題涵蓋劇本創作、攝影指導、剪輯、電影美術設計以及電影推廣與發行等多個範疇，協助入圍導演及公眾提升專業技能，同時加深對行業趨勢的理解。
曾參與培訓計劃並完成的作品包括艾麥提麥麥提的《好喝酒館》、劉國瑞的《白日青春》、蔡杰的《人海同遊》及曾慶宏的《過時．過節》等。此外，2024年Film Lab的兩個入圍項目《海不揚波》及《無辜的肉》，分別於2025年電影業辦公室項目市場（HKIFF Industry Project Market）中獲得HAF發展中項目（IDP）大獎及麥特影業大獎。
本年度Film Lab將於2025年8月25日至29日舉行，選出約八個華語電影計劃，並優先考慮香港本地項目。所有入圍計劃將競逐劇本諮詢獎，得獎者可獲導師指導進一步完善劇本，並自動入選於2026年3月17日至19日舉行的電影業辦公室項目市場。
Since 2018, HKIFF Industry has hosted the Film Lab, a five-day training programme offering lectures and one-on-one consultations to nurture the next generation of Hong Kong and Chinese-language filmmakers. This year, the programme features a comprehensive curriculum covering scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, art direction, distribution and marketing. It aims to enhance participants’ professional skills and industry knowledge while offering insights into evolving film trends.
Film Lab has become a vital platform for cultivating emerging talent and launching careers. Notable alumni works include Good Drink Pub (Emetjan Memet), The Sunny Side of the Street (Lau Kok Rui), Borrowed Time (Cai Jie), and Hong Kong Family (Tsang Hing-weng). Additionally, two projects from the 2024 Film Lab, Waves Under the Sea and Innocent Flesh, received accolades at this year’s HKIFF Industry Project Market, winning the HAF In-development Project (IDP) Award and Maxtimes Award, respectively.
The 2025 Film Lab will take place from 25 to 29 August, selecting up to eight Chinese-language projects, with priority given to Hong Kong submissions. Script Services Awards will also be presented, with winners receiving automatic entry to the HKIFF Industry Project Market in March 2026. |
