香港國際電影節協會聯同超媒體集團旗下創意文化平台NOWNESS ASIA共同推出「亞洲短片基金」（Asian Short Film Fund, ASFF），並於本月7日起徵集亞洲地區的劇情、紀錄片、動畫及實驗類短片企劃。
評審團將於8月初甄選十個入圍企劃參與網上公開提案會。最終獲選的三個項目將各獲最高35,000美元資助，並由國際知名亞洲電影人擔任導師，提供劇本開發、技術製作及國際發行等全方位支援。完成的短片將於2026年第五十屆香港國際電影節（HKIFF50）舉行全球首映，向來自世界各地的觀眾展示亞洲新銳影像力量。

The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) and NOWNESS Asia, a subsidiary of Meta Media Group, are proud to jointly launch the Asian Short Film Fund (ASFF).
Online submissions of drama, documentary, animation, experimental, and other short film proposals will open from 7 May 2025. Juries will shortlist ten projects to participate in an online open-pitch session in early August. From these, three selected projects will each receive up to US$35,000 in funding, as well as mentorship from renowned Asian filmmakers to support script development and production. The completed short films will premiere at the 50th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF50) in 2026.
