1965年出生於上海，1989年畢業於北京電影學院導演系。主要作品包括《蘇州河》（2000）、《頤和園》（2006）、《春風沉醉的夜晚》（2009）、《推拿》（2014）、《風中有朵雨做的雲》（2018）及《蘭心大劇院》（2019）等，曾多次提名各大國際電影節，包括鹿特丹、康城、柏林、威尼斯、金馬獎、亞洲電影大獎、中國導演協會獎等，屢獲獎項。2018年起，婁燁獲邀成為美國影藝學院、奧斯卡評委成員。
Born in Shanghai in 1965, Lou graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 1989, majoring in directing. His films Suzhou River (2000), Purple Butterfly (2003), Summer Palace (2006), Spring Fever (2009), Love and Bruises (2011), Mystery (2012), Blind Massage (2014), The Shadow Play (2018) and Saturday Fiction (2019) have been selected by and won prizes at major international festivals such as Cannes, Venice, the Berlinale, Rotterdam, Taipei Golden Horse Awards, Chinese Independent Film Festival, and Asian Film Awards. Some of the major accolades include Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at the Berlinale (Blind Massage) and the Best Screenplay Award at Cannes Film Festival (Spring Fever). In 2018, Lou Ye was invited to become a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. |
